We are welcomed by the stunning hotel the Palacio Arriliuce that overlooks the bay and mountains that surround Bilbao and Getxo. Dinner is set at one of the best restaurants in Bilbao where we have our welcome breifing that sets out the schedule of the coming days.
Bilbao to Cantabria
We start our driving out towards the majestic foothills of the Picos De Europa, some fantastic coastal roads help us on our way before we start delving into the windy roads of the Picos. Our hotel for the next two nights has incredible views of the Picos and the Cantabrian Sea.
Picos Loop
Our day starts with us winding our way up into the Picos De Europa through incredible roads - a pure driving day of mountain regions and incredible scenery.
Picos to Ribera Del Duero
We leave the Picos and head to the warm region of Ribera Del Duero, famous for its rolling hills and incredible wine. An amazing change of scenery awats as we leave the mountain roads and head to the long slopey roads of the vineyards.
Ribera Del Duero to Porto
We head out from the vineyard country and follow the famous Duero river into Porto. More increadible scenery awaits as we cross the border into Portugal for our final night at the heart of the famous city.
